Any reasonable person should be convinced that routine CT scan screening of otherwise healthy people is probably not the wisest choice
When compared to the rest of the world, Americans are being exposed to massive amounts of radiation from imaging studies, some of which are probably needless including the imaging studies being targeted towards the healthy population - the so called wellness scans.
It is also clear that the burgeoning imaging industry is out of control and needs to do a better job of policing itself as well as developing more stringent safety standards for the public and its personnel.
Maybe we need more organic food stores and less diagnostic imaging centers. Come on FDA, there must be some screening tests that don't radiate!
